AKA is one of the most famous and talented rapper in South Africa and he is also addressed as The Supa Mega and 3rdWorldBoss . He started his music career at a tender age when joined a group called Entity with his two school mates , this is where his fame started . The rap group he joined was growing bigger and better as each day passes by and in 2002 he managed to garner a large number of successes; having entered South Africa’s music chart with a series of different released singles. When things began going better for them, they started to have issues resulting from a contracdicting opinions of how the group is going to be managed . Everyone of them had different plans for the future and each of them was working on a solo project and the group went down the drain .. The group was finally desolved in 2006, with all three members forging different paths and creating a different music nitch for themselves.
The said “Prince of South African Rap” went on with his dream career as a rapper to continue pushing his rap hustle . It got to a point where AKA took off from the music scene by going offline to do his working underground . He took some time off to learn more about his rap career and how he can build himself into something the world would admire ,emulate and endorse .
After few years , the rapper came back to the music industry with a new plan. He created his very own production company in 2007 alongside two colleagues named Buks and Kamza. AKA was producing for many South African stars before he decided to to pursue his own solo rap career, and so he did this time he was well refined and matured . When he started his solo career he released several hit songs like “Mistakes”, “In My Walk” and “Do It” and he was able to make it to number 1 on the South African 5FM Top 40 .He released his debut album which was a huge success for him and right now he is now one of the most soughted after South African rapper . He has won several awards both local and international .
AKA has performed on many big stages with international stars , the likes of Kanye West, Snoop dogg, Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, Big Sean and Kendrick Lamar .
